I booked a car online. On Tuesday the 16th September I sent an email to Avis and got no response. This morning I call to enquire why my email was not attended to and the first person I spoke to didn't even know what a letter of authority was. I spoke to a lady Sindi and informed her that I was looking for the letter of authority. She was clearly clueless as she just transferred me to a Khanyi Ngcobo, this lady I found rather cheeky as I told her I'm looking for an LOA and she says I must speak a language that they understand. Are you for real? She works for Avis and doesn't know what an LOA is? Firstly telling a client to speak a language you understand is downright rude especially when you should know what an LOA is. Then I ask her why no one replied to my email and she cheekily replies that they did not get the email. So I tell her that I have the email in my sent items and I will resend it so they can see that I sent it. I am thoroughly irritated by this woman's condescending tone of voice. After resending the email, I mysteriously got a response. No explanation as to why the first email was not responded to.
