Bad tactics used to delay pay out of refund

Europcar first maintains refund cannot be transferred into an account in Austria. Then Europcar was advised to transfer refund into customers' father's account in South Africa. Europcar reverts back and advises refund can be transferred into account in Austria. Again Europcar comes back and maintains refund has to be transferred into the South African account. But Europcar depends on the goodwill of an employee from the finance department to make the refund payment as soon as possible. On 18th January 2013 Europcar indicated transfer into the South African account should take place on Monday, 21st January 2013. So far, Thursday, 24th January 2013, the refund payment is still outstanding! Note: the cash deposit of R 6, 400.00 was paid on 11th December 2012 and the car was returned on 15th December 2012.
At the last petrol petrol station before the airport the car tank was filled up completely. Europcar charged the customer with R 71.85 to fill up the tank. The customers, one academic lady from Austria and one medical doctor from Germany, insist the car was definitely filled up completely. They trusted Europcar and cannot produce the garage bill. The customers, however, will pay.
