Vw Alpine

We gave our car in for service on the 27/08/2013, when my husband left the vehicle a blank status sheet was given to him to sign which he did. On completion of the service when he fetched the car half way home he realised the memory card together with our adaptor was missing, he had not seen the need to remove the memory, because there was no need for them to be checking inside the car as the car went in for brakes to be done. when he went back to Alpine VW, they argued that no memory card was there because the sheet was crossed out.
its a matter of priciple, we will not turn back half way from home to come and ask for an item which was not there, surely if we can afford a new car we can afford a memopry card and adaptor . what makes me sad is being told that they will do nothing to replace our items. so we can trust the staff at this place for anything, we are the customers bringing a situation / problem to their attention, what guarantee or security measurements do they have that can assure me that my vehicle was checked properly before they began. I can guarantee you that yourll did not check my car and i can prove it.
