The break were replaced on 105 000km. We had a hand break problem within 13 700km where we took the vehicle back to Action Ford. Action Ford advised that the break needed to be replaced which were hard to believe. According to Action Ford the break cylinder was leaking which we accept and we are prepared to pay for the leaking cylinder. The 1 wheel shows excessive wear compared to the other wheel. This is an indication to hand break adjustment not done correctly (cause of wear to the breaks). Action Ford also billed us for three hours labour, where break replacement should only take an hour and a half maximum. According to Estelle van der Walt from Action Ford - the minimum billing rate for replacement of breaks is three hours, which is not acceptable. If the breaks were installed correctly from the start there whould have not been such excessive wear and tear on one side. It is hard to believe that breaks can wear unevenly if the work was done correctly. It is not a matter not wanting to pay for the job completed but out of principal a labour rate of one and a half hour is acceptable.
