I had my car serviced at Ford fury William Nicol. They called me to say that my break pads and discs needed to be replaced. Because I am a female people think I dont know anything about cars however this is not the case. I asked how much it was going to cost and the service spokesperson said R6000 for break pads and discs, this was separate from my R2950 service. I asked them if they could measure the break pad to let me know how much I had left and I was told they cannot do that and it was wear and tear and I should be warned it was metal on metal. I then called a few places and cost for break pads and discs and a reputable company had quoted me R700 for the same parts. I told them not to touch anything as with it being December no- one 6k spare. When i got my car back I took the wheel off to check how bad my discs and pads were. My pads are perfectly fine and have a good 40 000 km's left on them and there is NOTHING wrong with my discs.
I got a follow up call from the center and reported this problem and was assured the manager would call me back. that was two weeks ago. never taking my car there again because as a woman you get ripped off.
