I stopped at the Engen CONVENIENCE store this morning whilst I was filling up and as I normally do pop in to get myself and my son lunch for the day, I specifically asked if the sandwiches were fresh, even though the date specified that it was packed on the 26th and to be sold on the 28th, the lady insisted that they were freshly made and just delivered.
Needless to say it is now lunchtime and I tried to eat my R21.60 chic and mayo sandwich the bread is so stale and I bit into 2 bones. This product is unsatisfactory paying over R20.00 for a sandwich that is not edible is not on. I threw the other half away - now have to go spend more money on lunch, as well as knowing my poor son has a stale sandwich and still has sport after school, probably on a empty stomach. NOT HAPPY!!!
