We have purchased a brand new vw polo gti from Strijdom Park VW from sales person Faith and Yolanda Wilkins.prior to 5 000km the rear wheel bearings had to be replaced. On the 2 April 2013 the vehicle was taken to VW Strijdom Park as there was a problem with the gearbox, Andre Grobler who took the vehicle for a test drive and thereafter said ' this is a common problem with this vehicle'. The sales manager said there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. Now that the problem is getting worse with the vehicle, we are trying to esculate it to the regional manager of VW but VW staff refuse to give us this info as well as VW SA who refuse to provide this. Joanne from VW SA who is a call centre consultant says there is nothing wrong with the gears and it is normal for the gears to grate (call centre staff know a lot and shouldn't be in a call center). We as concerned consumers would like to protect the rest of consumers on spending R280 000 on a vehicle that 10 000km later gives u endless problems. VW, polo gti is the worst car to purchase and I'm extremely disappointed on my buy.
