This morning I decided to take my family to Bistro Bella-Mie in Centurion Mall for brunch. Being pregnant I have cravings and this morning my craving was for a bacon and avo sandwich and the Bistro looked like the perfect place to satisfy my uncontrollable needs! 1st I get served a toasted sandwich even though I never asked for it to be toasted then I get served old, stale, miffed bread! So old that if you push down on it that it breaks in half, so stale that you can feel it's not fresh the minute you pick it up and so miffed that not even the bacon, avo and feta could mask the taste! I wish I could say that was the end of my experience but when I called the manager over to explain the situation his question to me is, wait for it, "can I get you another sandwich made with the bread delivered this morning? ". Now my question is, is it normal practice to serve customers old, stale, miffed bread and seeing as it was a plain sandwich and not toasted would it not be advisable to make it with the freshest bread! Obviously someone in the kitchen was not using their head but judging from the managers comment I get a feeling this is standard practice!
