Cloth left in manifold

Took car to Bosch for electronic error. Determined it was throttle body and that was replaced but afterward there was a compression issue on cylinder. After several days futher inspection i was told they would have to send it in because the expect it is a burned valve and the head would need to be skimmed. Was quoted 13 hours labour at R450ph and that excl part and skim and labour at the other shop. Could not afford and asked them for my car back. Took it for a second opinion where I was informed that they found a piece of cloth in the manifold left behind after the throttle body was replaced. Took the cloth out and the car ran perfectly. Confronted Bosch (Cencar) and they simply refuse to take responsibility and said they would have eventually found the cloth. But they were about to send the car for a R7000plus repair that was unnecessary!! What if they did the and only afterwards found the cloth. They would not admit it was a cloth, that I know. So ja, I'm out of an additional R800 for Bosch's fault. They won't do anything about it, I know. Only thing I can do is warn each en every person I know. News travels fast, especially if there are now 3 unhappy customers in one company
