Delport Gearbox & Diff
Very Bad Workmanship on my Mazda's Gearbox

Delport Gearbox replaced bearings in my Mazda 2.5TD D/C bakkie, s gearbox a week ago. On my way with my caravan to Hartenbos the bolts and nuts on the crossmember of the gearbox fell off and the bolts and nuts holding the centre bearing on the propshaft also broke. The propshaft dropped. I was 19km from Port Alfred and needed help to get to Port Alfred. The mechanics could not believe what they saw. They repaired it temporary to help me to get to Hartenbos. In Mosselbay they had a struggle to sepatate the propshaft from the gearbox. The main shaft in the gearbox was apparantly hit with a hammer preventing the propshaft splines from sliding in and out and the main shaft bend as a result of that. The gearbox must come out again and the job redone plus a new main shaft and the propshaft now need replacement as well as my bakkie now vibrates badly. I contacted Delport and ask my money back to redo the job. No response from him. This was bad workmanship from his side and I am stranded in Hartenbos with no hope to return home without costly repairs.
