RAM couriered two rifles for me from Pietermaritzburg to Rustenburg last month. When the one rifle was taken out its bag the stock was broken through. On enquiry I was informed that, since the a damage was not reported within 24 hours they would not entertain a claim. I then contacted their head office and was told that I did not mark a place on the waybill, a full liability option, and therefore has no claim. When the waybill was given to me I specifically asked the RAM employee what I need to complete. After completion I asked him again if I need to fill anything else in. In both cases he did not draw my attention to this option. This is a fault of the company and now they refuse to accept responsibility. This is unacceptable and I would recommend nobody make use of their service.
