I went to send a package overseas (Turkey) two months ago and took it to the Maitland branch, I Had called there call centre to which they said they were open until 9pm. Got there & was told that I could only collect packages not send anything because it was after 5pm, She told me to come tomorrow. At this point I should've known not to use them but I sent the package the next day, I asked if I could send the package because it was fruit samples and she checked and said " Yes, It falls under food stuff" She said I had to fill in a form about what I was sending. Its now been two months of pure agony dealing with DHL. I had to send a letter 3 times due to the fact that I didn't have the proper documents for food products. Take note: I did ask what documents I needed for my package. Also, My shipment got confiscated because it was in customs for longer that 14 days. I would also like to point out that DHL to the Turkish Customs officials saying, quote " The shipment sent with DHL awb number was sent by mistake to Turkey" It was NOT sent by mistake! A lady from DHL phoned me yesterday basically saying "Its not their problem & my samples wont be refunded! GREAT SERVICE DHL!
