I recently used postnet overnight services for a visa application where they couriered my passport to Pretoria for a payment of R500 which I made. When my passport was ready for collection, I called another courier (Speed services) and authorized them to collect my passport and deliver it to me in Cape Town for R214. I got a call this morning from Postnet that my passport is with them (Postnet) in Cape Town and they expect me to pay another R500 for their services. My issue is that I never asked them for the return services, neither did I authorize them to return my passport. How can they expect me to pay for this despite there being no signed documents or verbal agreements? I need my passport urgently and Postnet is extorting me.
