My girlfriend and i decide to go to mikes kitchen in rosebank (only because the spur was full)
we were seated by a friendly host and then this uninterested sad looking waitress served us not friendly or interested in the least. when our our food came, my GF ordered a 300g spare ribs which was more like 100g, it was so small it could fit on a side plate, but fine they will argue its 300g before cooked, but the ribs tasted like! the meat was stale and tasted awful, that they bought somewhere but are charging R100 for it, then my order was a chicken liver spud, which also tasted like, the livers could be counted and the sauce was packet tomato puree mixed with some chillie sauce and slapped over the burnt livers and put into a potatoe which was just boiled and re heated before serving, but this was truly and utterly not worth the R200 meal we actually left and didn't bother finishing the food we probably ate only a 1/4 of it! ended up having another meal at one of our best places MIMMOS.
