We were staying at Mabalingwe Time share resort and were celebrating one of our guests 77th birthday on Friday 27th December 2013. We had booked a table for dinner. We took our own bottle of champagne and were charged R50.00 corkage fee for this. When the final bill came, the 250ml Red Bull drink was charged at R42.00!!! I approached the food and beverage manager at the restaurant, she was not prepared to assist in any way just stating that she could not do anything about this as it was in the system. She actually gave the distinct attitude, and this was noted by all the guests, that she could not care less and we must just pay otherwise she would be accused of if she reversed the amount. I even offered to go to the closet town and buy a replacement can. Not interested was her attitude - you have drunk the product so now you pay!!! She actually tried to assist by offering a free coffee as a last resort. This actually soured the whole celebration dinner and subsequently we heard that other guests had serious complaints regarding her attitude to their complaint as well. JUST BE WARNED REGARDING THIS RESTAURANT AND THEIR PRICES. Will never eat there again!!!
