Once again the staff at News Cafe Witbank have managed to prove how pathetic the service in this country can be. I'm beyond appalled at the type of treatment we received on Saturday night. One waitress in particular (Emmah) together with the manager (Aubrey), the very same manager who did nothing about a waitress who disrespected me and threw my card in my face the last time, disrespected me and my friends by shouting at us and telling us we wont be allowed in because we were wearing shorts. Rules (and dress codes) are there for a reason and we respect that BUT they should apply to everyone, all the time not just a few people and only when it suits you. There were plenty of people wearing shorts in there and we have also worn shorts plenty of times before. They were just using the little authority they think they have to bully customers. I am seriously appalled and at the rate that restuarant is being run, you'll be lucky if you have any decent customers on the other side of all of this. I am sick of being treated like I'm being done a favor by the staff in that place. Learn to treat your PAYING customers with respect instead of being such ungrateful people!!!
