What started out as a lovely evening to celebrate my birthday wasnot so lovely after all. We went to Spur at Westgate Mall for supper and ordered from the menu. We waited quite a while for the food and I still commented that fresh food takes longer to prepare. When we eventually got our food my chips & onion rings were ice cold, I called the waitress and expl;ained to her that the chips & onions were cold. She took the plate and brought it back minutes later and to be quite honest it tasted like rubber. Not to mention the ribs I ordered, there was no meat and mostly bone, I think the meat or whatr was left on the bone was charred. I could not even force myself to eat that "food" and just told the waitress to pack it as a take away. My fiancee's baked potato looked like something from a scary movie, extremely dry and burnt at the bottom - not sure if that is Spur's way of making sure the food is well done or what... Not such a happy ending to my birthday as I had to settle for 2 minute noodles when I got home.
