On Sunday 24 February 2013, my husband and I went for lunch at the Fishhoek Restaurant at Irene Village Mall. It was our first time visiting the establishment, and though the food was good, the service left a lot to be desired.

My Cellphone was off the table, and the only people who had access was our waiter and the casual clearing plates.

Furthermore, we wrote on the bill that the amount (including the tip) should be R345, yet the waiter processed R445, and the transaction went through twice. The waiter failed to return the slip to us.

When we approaced the manager regarding the phone, the sms came through with the amount processed. My husband confronted the waiter who eventually handed him R100 back. The management attitude regarding the phone left a lot to be desired. I was told that it would not have been one of the staff. 2 Staff members were the only persons with access to our table! Management undertook to search staff that evening, but would not do anything immediatley.

Management undertook to phone us back, yet they have failed to do this.

Beware... the food may be good, but dishonesty severe!! Will never go back!!!
