At the last window (food collections) - I was asked if I would park on the side and they would bring the food to me. I said that I would rather wait here (in the drive through). This comes with the primary knowledge that they are on a timer, and I had checked my rear view mirror, there was only 1 car behind me and I had only ordered 4 hashbrowns, at 9am my expectation is that this shouldn't take long - so Its unlikely that I am inconveniencing anyone.
The lady asked me why I wouldn't park on the side - and I said that its because they are on a timer, and that I wont enable them to cheat the timer by parking on the side. Honest - but not very kind of me.
I was given dirty looks by her and at least one other colleague of hers, when she handed me the food she looked angry with me and didn't utter a word. Its the first time I can remember going to a drive through and not being told "thank you" or "come again".
I went into the branch to complain to someone of authority. The "coach" addressed me - but didn't seem to have any understanding of the problem I presented. I asked him for a phone number to lay a complaint to head office - and he gave me 011 236 2300 - no one answered.
