I was so looking forward to visiting Hard Rock Johannesburg. I couldn't have been more disappointed after the dinner and drinks that we had!
On arrival, we were told there was an hour wait for a table. There was no invitation to wait at the bar - we made our own way there and squashed next to a manager who was on his computer.
The barman was friendly, the wine was warm. And when we tried to order another round it became virtually impossible to get anyone's attention.
Once we were finally given a table (one of 8 empty), we ordered the "Legendary" Hard Rock burgers. One out of 4 meals was wrong. The manager came to check if we were ok - when it was obvious that we were short a meal. He didn't quite seem to know what to do with the information that we had been brought the wrong food.
At R110 for a burger, the burgers could have come from McDonalds. Although at least McDonalds put sauce and lettuce on their burgers. And cook them properly. My burger was uncooked in the middle.
The tipping point for me however, was on finishing ourwhen we were asked to move so they could add in another table for the people next to us.
Definitely wont be going back!!
