Long story short. My waiter changed about 4 times, landed up with a male waiter with a black shirt (who appeared drunk - slurring and slow). That's not the worst of it though. When it came time for the bill, I gave my spur club card to this male waiter in the black shirt and verbally requested he use the cards to add points to the card. I did not once ask to redeem my points. As he was half-intoxicated I had to reiterate twice that I want to use my card for points; "pls do not claim a voucher, just add the points". He brings me the bill of R107.50, which was full price for my meal (1 burger special and 3 black label beers). I put down R120 cash, giving him a tip of R12.50. He took the cash and my slip in the little black book and I went on my way. The following day I received an email from spur saying a R50 Spur voucher has been added, so I registered on the site and had a look at my statement. To my dismay and shock, I saw that 5000 points had been deducted from my card from Soaring Hawk Spur - which was not reflected on my slip/bill. This means, I effectively had R50 deducted from my bill without knowing and he pocketed the difference. Do I open a case of at the police?
