Their mix up in the booking but worse the attitude

We were regular customers of Players Restaurant. We like to dine outside. My husband held his birthday there in September and after considering other restaurants I decided to also hold mine there. I phoned well in time in the preceding week and booked for a party of ten and specified the table location and stressed outside. My booking was confirmed for 2nd November and I gave my telephone number. When we arrived it was extremely busy and we were put inside. It was noisy and there was little ventilation. The windows do not open. It was hot and unpleasant. All the outside tables were occupied or booked for other customers. When I expressed my disappointment to the waiter who usually serves us he referred us to the manageress. She had a could not care attitude and said "she did not take the booking". Why had they not phoned me prior to us arriving if the person taking the booking had made an error, to give me an opportunity of cancelling? Once we all arrived it was too late to go elsewhere although I considered it. It was a very unpleasant experience and ruined my day. Especially the attitude of the manageress!
