Phoned to make a reservation for my b-day on the 14th. Manager answered, halfway through the reservation I was asked to hold. Waited for about 3 minutes before someone else took my call and I had to repeat my booking. Manager was very abrupt, clearly too busy to speak to me. I asked for a table close to the play area. He said he couldn't guarantee this. I asked where else we would be seated and he couldn't confirm, getting annoyed with my enquiries. I was told that we'd have a set menu. As I enquired as to why this would be, he got even more irritated with me. We were about 20 pax last year Nov for my son's b-day - no set menu then? I asked if my booking was confirmed and he said he's entering my details as we speak. He told me to sms him my email so he could send me the set menu AFTER WHICH my booking will be confirmed. So is my booking confirmed or not? I phoned a different restaurant - within 5 minutes my booking was confirmed, a special table booked as per my request, I can even take my own birthday cake! Phoned back to cancel my res @ Papachinos. I was asked why and I said I got bad service. The reply was oh, ok and the call was ended. No desire to change the situation.
