Me and a group of friends enjoyed a lovely dinner at La Pentola last night. (5 November) Compliments to the chef! We did however, receive terrible service.
It started when they communicated incorrect prices via telephone, creating the impression that their prices compete with most affordable chain restaurants.
Throughout the night it seemed that our waitress was a bit irritated with us and we were treated as if we couldn't afford their dishes. On more than one occasion we caught our waitress rolling her eyes at us. We also got the impression that asking for a "doggy bag" is frowned upon.
At the end of the night when we got our bill we realised that there were several mistakes and our waitress had to change it twice. We received no apology whatsoever and at this stage the waitress seemed even more irritated.
We were all very disappointed in La Pentola's service and the way we were treated. Unfortunately given my experience it would be difficult to recommend La Pentola to anyone in the future.
