We went to Piatto for dinner, as it has recently opened so we decided to try it out.
We arrived at the restaurant and were seated outside, and there was probably about another 5 occupied tables in the entire restaurant.
We ordered drinks and asked for an ash tray from our waiter.
Nearly 15 minutes later, he STILL hadn't returned. So we eventually went to go see what was going on and asked another waitress to call him for us. When he eventually returned to our table, he informed us that they didn't have stock of one of the drinks we ordered.
Surely he could have come back sooner, we would have ordered something else and then been served sooner. 15 minutes to tell us they don't have stock?? Really??
Disgusted with this service we decided to leave, and as we walked out, we informed the manageress of the situation to which she simply replied "oh, sorry" and immediately greeted another customer walking in.
I am disappointed that the service standards are so low, especially considering it is a new restaurant and was practically empty as it is!!
Shame on you Piatto! We will definitely not go back, to the Carlswald branch or anywhere else!
