Spur does not honour bookings

On Wednesday 25 September at 10:00 we booked for a party of 16 people on the raised area near the playing area as we expected children and a pram with a new baby. This was to ensure that we could keep an eye on the children, and also so that the pram would not be in the aisle (as these are very narrow).

At 17:30 we received a call from spur indicating that a party had been seated at our reserved table since 14:00, but that we should still come as they would make a plan.

Upon arrival the reserved tables were still full and we were given seats somewhat scattered, away from the play area and the pram in the busy aisle. We asked to speak to the manager as this was not what we booked. He said we should sit and wait until the party finished as he was sure they would leave soon. After asking if he had spoken with them to find out how long they would be, he asked another manager to speak to them. She returned to say that they were not finished and would not leave, and that they would prepare another area for us.

After literally standing in the aisle for 20 minutes we phoned another restaurant who was happy to accommodate us. We decided to take our business elsewhere.
