Owners have rude response to complaints

In June 2013, we went toTHE LOUNGE restaurant. We had a complaint against gratuity charged for persons 4 or more. We go to THE LOUNGE regularly and we family of 4 (2 small kids) and they never charged us a gratuity fee. On this particular day my mom was with and they decided to charge us this fee. I was under the impression gratuity is charged for people of 8 or more. When my husband and I raised the concern, we were met with hostility from both the wife and husband owners. They told us its written on the menu to which I replied that I didn't see that. I felt the owners was not concerned about our complaints and was arguing with us in full view of other patrons in the restaurant. My husband then said its fine he'll pay as to avoid any further arguments. The male owner then charged us without gratuity but did so in an upset manner. Upon leaving the restaurant I said to him I'm very displeased with his and his wifes mannerisms and will not support them again. He was not phased about it and said he doesn't care and I can go ahead and tell other people as he believes his business is and will be successful.
