I left Col Cacchio on Friday 21 June at 18:00 and I forgot my bag, with ID, drivers licence, credit cards, cash, etc at the table. Returning at 20:00 and 22:00 to enquire if the waiters have found the bag when clearing the table, the manager and waiters said they found nothing and that another customer must have taken it. The manager did not search the restaurant and kitchen and relied on the verbal feedback of a couple of the waiters. He promised to phone me at 09:00 Saturday to indicate if the bag was found after closing. No feedback was received. The manager would only be on duty 16:00 Saturday and not 09:00 as indicated. He never called and I had to phone at about 17:00 and got the same response as the previous evening.
Recorded security camera footage confirmed that I entered the restaurant with the bag and left without it. No images of a customer leaving with the bag could be seen. I was negligent but believe that a waiter should have found the bag when clearing the table and that the manager could show interest in my situation, do a proper search and communicate with me as promised.
In response on an email, I did receive a 'sorry to hear' call from their head office.
