I bought a meal voucher on City slicker. a meal for 2 stipulating certain conditions -one had to select from a limited menu and one had to order at least 2 beverages.we were so busy reading the stipulations on the menu that we didn't see the fine print about not being allowed to book on a Friday. my daughter wanted to take her boyfriend out for a treat and booked a table but neglected to mention she had a voucher - teenagers for you.anyhow, she receives the bill and the waiters crowd around them as if they are bilkers and she calls me in an absolute panic not knowing what to do and feeling hugely embarrassed as it was meant to be a special evening. first I transferred money into her account.next I called the restaurant and explained the situation. I was met with very little understanding of a rather delicate situation. I gave them my card details and paid the bill, no problem. this after I was told that its was my negligence in not noting the fine print and that if I were buying a car then I would read the fine print more carefully and not make such and obviously stupid mistake. we have been supportive customers from when their doors opened. the owner was very aggressive and rude.
