I left the fund in 2003 after having worked for 6years at the then Delta motor corporation, now general motors. I received a provident fund payout of about R24000. This amount seemed odd at the time bt i trusted it to be correct. Then my girlfriend left her very low earning job (bout half what i made at Delta) and got a higher payout than me. I left it at that though until i recently met this guy who worked with me. He had 8 years service at the time but was on a lower pay grade than me. He received a payout of R179000 even after a loan he made on the fund. This convinces me that there was something wrong with my payout. I hope you will help me get to the bottom of this as i am pursuing this from all avenues.
