On the 27 November 2012, the repair of my vehicle due to hail damage was authorised. The assessor appointed was a very friendly gentleman by the name of Njongo. He advised via email that my vehicle will be given to Global Hail specialists to attend to the repair work. Two weeks later, I visited the workshops of Global Hail specialist, to my dismay, my vehicle was no longer there! It was sent off to a workshop in Pretoria. I became upset and concerned that my vehicle was taken to another location without my knowledge or consent. After two weeks of back and forth emails and telephone calls, I managed to get a contact person at the workshop where my vehicle lay. I was then advised that the repair work to the front bumper was not authorised. I immediately spoke to Njongo, the assessor and he confirmed that it was authorised. On the day that I collected my vehicle, the repair to the bumper was not done. It has been FOUR months now and my vehicle has not been repaired 100%. The assessor has still not come back to me, despite my calls to him where he continues to promise to contact me with feedback but does not. I never thought that I'd be disappointed with Santam.
