My husband has been insured by Santam for many many years. There was an incident a few months back when someone reversed out of her driveway, across a solid line on the road and into our car whilst we were still stationary in our driveway. I have been querying with Santam since that time when the claim will be processed. I have had various emails from them claiming different things. The last email I received from them was that they would not pay out as they had decided their client was innocent (she gave them a completely different story apparently). When I phoned them I asked the person who emailed me whether she had seen my report and documentation on the accident, to which she replied NO. How can Santam make a decision like that based on one persons story without even looking at our evidence? Plus why take a few months to come to this decision? Also I was told by Santam that they take the word of their client. Does this mean that despite being insured by Santam for so many years, my husband is not a client? I am really disappointed in the way this was handled and the way Santam dealt with this and the fact that they did not bother to go through any of our documentation
