SA Waranties refuse to entertain a claim for a policy that I took out in 2009 as unlimited mileage warranty for a vehicle that I bought. The excuse not to pay is because I gave the garage the go ahead to do the work without their permission. The vehicle had a mechanical breakdown on Wednesday. I informed them on Thursday that the work is being done at Hyundai and inquired whether they cover this. I was told that they do normally cover it, but will not because I already gave the garage the go ahead. I explained that the work is not yet complete and that the vehicle is still at the garage. They said it was totally irrelevant. The garage also contacting them stating that it was a valid claim and they were in the process of doing the repair. The same response was given. I only received my car back today, Friday afternoon. Not what one would expect after paying for several years and never claiming. I urge all possible clients not to consider them for any form of insurance. Not even the decency of any response after re-submitting a possible claim.
