Money transferred without permission

I was notified that my credit card was in arrears yesterday for the first time via sms then today I get another sms telling me that ABSA has transferred the money from my savings account to settle the amount owing on the credit card.
This is not the first time this has happened. Firstly who the has authority to go and dig in my accounts without my permission and my pin number, how do I know that a whole lot of money wont just go missing The second problem is the money they have taken does not belong to me.it belongs to a friend of mine who I am buying some musical equipment for because I get a discounted rate. This incident leaves me feeling very uneasy about just how secure my money is in your bank. Thirdly I was not warned that this would happen and giving me a day to sort out the problem shows me you actually dont give a stuff about your customers. Sending me an sms after the fact is not on. I have been a customer with Absa bank since its inception and have been reasonably happy with the service but these two incidents coupled with your ridiculous bank charges are making me think again.
