I had recently changed my Gold debit card to a Gold Value Bundle package so that I could save on banking charges. I had not signed for an overdraft facility. My account then went into overdraft for the sum of R1.02 and a month later I was charged an overdraft fee of R57.00. When I called the call centre number (pricing department) I was told that the charge of R57.00 was because the account went into an overdraft. I dont understand, as the transaction should have been declined if there were insufficient funds, and not go into an overdraft facility, as I do not have one on my account. But off course the amount has not been reversed.
