After being informed by Lucas from your Cresta Branch in April 2013, that I have a R500.00 overdraft facility on my new Nedbank Savvy Account. With the piece of mind that such a facility was available to get me through the 'Darker Days', I proceeded to making a few cash purchases by swiping my debit card when the funds in my account was exhausted. Each of the transactions were immediately approved, which further confirmed that an overdraft facility existed on by bank account. However, I recently opened my statement from Nedbank and was shocked to find that I was being charged an 'Honouring fee' of R90.00 per transaction, each time I swiped my card. For 10 swipes over 3 mnths, a total of R900 in honor fees was charged to my account.
That's daylight & I refuse to be a victim! It's not rocket science. If there is no overdraft facility on my account and there is no funds available in my account, then DON'T APPROVE the payment TO RIP YOUR CLIENTS OFF! Its unethical. Rather DECLINED IT!! This is your stuff up and U hv the audacity to charge me for it?? Please refund me the R900.00 in honouring fee as it is your mistake! Else I'm taking my business elsewhere!
