UNFAIR DECLINE OF CLAIM

In February 2012 I lodged a claim for the scrached and cracked wind screen of my car from my insurer Prime Meridian Direct. The insurance I had with them coveres among other things, side of the road dents and whindscreen chips etc. I started by phoning them and explain the problem to them. They sent me a claim formwhich I completed and sent to them. After receiving the form they responded by saying there are two dealers they use for windscreen repair and replacement which are Glassfit and PGGLASS.They requested me to choose from the two, I chose Glassfit in Louis Trichardt. They advised me to make appointment with the above dealer which i have chosen. When I arrived on the day the glassfit LTT did not have the stock and they communicated with my insurance and said if I have money I can proceed to Polokwane which I did. After the Polokwane branch finalised their quotes they sai to me my insurance is declining saying they do not cover windscreen. I was frustrated and shocked. I tried to speak to them asking why they made me chose the dealer and all the trouble. They just said they are declining. I cancelled the insurance immidiately but it was too late because I never skipped any payment.
