I dread having to go into an ABSA Bank, I have been meaning to close my account on numerous occasions. This time I about had it with ABSA.I will be travelling overseas soon, so there were payments that i needed to make which werent small amounts. I first went to Easgate - after standing for over 20 min in the wrong queue I was told to stand in another queue for another 20 mins. I needed assistance to make payment from my crdit card as I do not have internet banking, the consultant then assist me with cell phone banking, she added the beneficiary, i made the payment just to come find out later the beneficiary that she added was wrong? I am not sure how did this happen, but she added the wrong account details so money went into an account (lucky for me it was a closed acount). But just imagine if it went into the wrong account!!! I would not have got my money back because ABSA call cente call centres says they can olny lodge the dispute, which I find very unacceptable. I get no joy when i have to deal with an employee from ABSA. Bedford centre is none the better. Service is poor, attitude is bad. Staff tell us they on lunch and no one can help. I get terrible service EVERYTIME
