So today, 17 April 2013, I spent 50 minutes at the branch and .. NOTHING SOLVED!! The Stop Payment system is so ridiculous it works as follows:
1. It asks for the amount related to the debit order that must be stopped..
2. It requires the date on which the transaction takes place with the option to specify two dates so that a period can be specified if the client is not sure of the exact date - very thoughtful. BUT the start and end dates can only be TODAYS DATE - HOW STUPID! This means a client must cancel a debit order ON THE DATE that the transaction takes place!! Impossible!!

I am not a piece of software that can execute itself exactly a few minutes prior to a scheduled debit order run.
