I have now HAD it with ABSA!!!
I FICA'd my account in October 2012.
I go the USA in December, only to return with my account being locked!!! I call ABSA - and they tell me that I need to FICA to unlock my account!!
Somehow they had NO record of me doing a FICA at Woodlands in October!!
I then waste my time AGAIN in January to go to Menlyn branch and complete me FICA AGAIN!!
Now, MARCH 2013, my account is locked AGAIN! @!!! @!! @!!! @! @!!!
And this after I ws in Irene Absa - just YESTERDAY to change my cell no?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!
I call them - and guess what - "Mam, have you fica'd your account with us yet? "
AAARRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
The ONLY way I can get my account unlocked is to WASTE MY TIME again, INCONVENIENCE MY LIFE AGAIN, and go FICA my account AGAIN!!!
I have accounts with Nedbank and FNB and NEVER have this TERRIBLE DISGUSTING kind of service!!!
THIS IS RIDICULOUS, INCOMPETENT & UNACCEPTABLE!!!
Does ABSA think I have time to waste sitting around waiting for them to call me into a bank queue?!!?!?
