I had a claim against Baseline Civils and seeing that I received no concrete feedback from them (Stiaan Marx), I was given the contact details of the Insurer (Ms Wendy Pawson). She requested more info including 5 quotes, which I submitted to her. After a few days I received back an e-mail only saying "Herewith self-explanatory letter from our client's Insurer".
Reading through it, I realized that there was another party involved - the underwriter (C&G Underwriting Managers) and that they have rejected my claim and that "no claim will be entertained". Obviously not satisfied, I responded to Ms Pawson that it was not sufficient and that I was disappointed in the manner to which the claim was handled. She responded by saying "You need to refer your views, comments and opinions as to why you disagree with their decision to the INSURER. The rejection letter you received contains all of the contact information for the Insurer and the person you need to discuss your claim with."
For the life of me, I do not understand why I had to deal with FNB if they were not helpful at all. It was just a waste of my time. Thanks FNB!!
