Baseline repaired a piece of the Dassenberg road between the R27 and Atlantis during August 2012. Somehow they misjudged the weather and heavy rain caused tar to run over the road causing my car to be covered by tar. It rained during the night and the next morning I was driving the road to work. The road was, to my opinion, not swept on time and small stones were shot against my car - however, I did not see immediate damage. After they cleaned the road, I had my car washed by Baseline themselves whereby I noted "chips" in my windscreen and bonnet. I was informed by Mr Marx to submit a claim form and it would be processed accordingly.
After I had received no concrete feedback from Mr Marx, I was given the contact details of Ms Wendy Pawson. She, in return, requested more info including 5 quotes for repairs. After a few days I received an e-mail from Ms Pawson saying "Herewith self-explanatory letter from our client's Insurer". The insurer, C & G Underwriting Managers, rejected the claim saying "no claim will be entertained".
If anyone is to visit the road they will clearly see that something went wrong in the process of Baseline and that damage was caused due to the construction.
