DISCOVERY CREDIT - VIOLATING NCR REGULATIONS!

My mother-in-law has had debt problems for the past year. I went to FNB and asked Discovery, over the counter, for a settlement amount. I then went directly, on the same day, to the counter and paid cash for the settlement as per the amount given to me telepathically. I got her to phone and email a request to close the account immediately. I also emailed a letter to them, signed by her, stating that she has debt problems and they must close the account.

The response was that all was in order and they would send her a letter/email confirming closure.

She receive an email on the fourth of April, nearly a month after the request, stating that they could not close the account because an additional interest amount had been levied!

I find this disgusting! This is totally contrary to the NCR regulations and they are my next point of call straight after I have finished writing this email. I absolutely refuse to pay an additional R226.84 and will take this to the highest level if necessary.
