At the end of May I phoned Discovery to cancel the card protector I have on my discovery card. I was assured that I need not send the request in writing, the phone call will suffice. This month the premium for the card protector still went off my account. I sent e-mails to Discovery Card and Discovery Life requesting that they cancel the card protector and that they close my Discovery card. I received an e-mail from them on Wednesday about 12:45 stating that they will contact me within 3 working days. Today at 12:45 the 3 working days were up and I have not heard anything. My credit card is paid in full except for the premium for the card protector. All I want them to do is close the account. I also had to tell the courier service they use 5 times to stop phoning me and send the new card back to Discovery as I requested Discovery to close my account and cancel my cards. I am still waiting for confirmation that the account has been closed or at least information on how I should go about it if the e-mail I sent is not sufficient.
