I have two vehicles financed through Nedbank/MFC. Last month my debit order on the one reversed as I failed to transfer sufficient funds into the relevant account in time for the debit order to go off.
I contacted the call centre on the following day, obtained banking details and a reference number so that I could make an EFT. I paid over the amount due and emailed the proof of payment through to the address provided. The next day i received a call from MFC enquiring to which of my two accounts the amount should be allocated. I indicated that it had to go onto the account that was technically in arrears. I then heard nothing from them for the remainder of the month.
After spending more than 45 mins talking to the least helpful agent I have ever come across I was told that I had used an incorrect ref number -when I got it from them- and also that a refund will take 10 days! Every credit agreement I have is with Nedbank but I am disgusted with this level of incomepetence and poor service.
This has probably also affected my credit record negatively and I will not accept this. I will continue to escalate this complaint as far as the NCR and the ombudsman until I get this resolved
