After submitting a report damage report (as requested by Santam) for my damaged I-pad about a month ago, I was contacted by a assessor and told that the report from the I-store was not sufficient as the I-store had detailed that they do not undertake repairs to I-pad's not under warranty from their store. Physical damage to an I-pad is not covered under any store warranty. I then went back to the I-store to obtain another damage report. This report was sent to Santam, detailing the damage (cracked screen) on the 23rd of September and confirmed that the I-pad is not economically repairable and the I-store does not have any repair centre. To date I have not received any feedback from Santam. I have tried to contact the assessor assigned to my claim but have been unable to reach him. According to the call-centre my latest damage report was received and a note put on their system that the report was not comprehensive enough, none of this was communicated to me and I am paying my insurance premiums every month but receiving no service!
