How can we ignore you today?

My online application on 5th march 2013 for a Seniors Fixed Deposit was immediately acknowledged with a "We'll get back to you as soon as possible" and a reference GCXAM7Z. After nearly TWO WEEKS of losing interest I had heard nothing so called the call centre on 18th March. The helpful FNB man agreed that this was not good and offered to take it up with higher authority. When I asked he said he could process my investment but it would cost me R80 in fees and then he offered me interest at half a percent below FNB's advertised market rate. Talk about adding insult to injury! Our final arrangement (I made the investment as I am a loyal customer) was that FNB would investigate the lack of response incident and get back to me. You can guess the outcome of that! Nine days later and no response. My advice to potential customers of FNB id don't waste your time.
