How can ABSA just freeze my account without any notice/warning??? I went to ABSA Montana to update my surname in December or January and took my Old and New ID as well as my marriage certificate (which I was told on a previous occasion would be sufficient). This was accepted and according to me everything was in order. So I went this afternoon to draw money to pay my accounts ect as we are going away for the weekend, JUST TO FIND OUT THAT MY ACCOUNT IS NOW ON HOLD UNTIL I PROVIDE PROOF OF RESIDENCE!!! THANX ABSA for such excellent service! I think the time has come to move my accounts.
