I was hospitalised a few months ago and could not pay my credit card (my homeloan and rcp with Standard Bank was paid) I made arrangements with the call centre to make a payment of R1000 every month and whenever I have extra cash I will pay an additional amount. Everything was fine I made payment last month as promised and life went on. This morning at 07:11 an amount of R10600 was debited from my account for my credit card. I called their call centre and after the call was dropped about three times I eventually got through but this time I get sent from pillar to post (was on the phone for over an hour). I requested the last consultant to supply me with the number for the banking Ombudsman and she could not even provide me with that. I want to know how does someone make arrangements for payment but then all his money gets taken by his bank? So now my home loan and RCP will return and I will have charges from the same bank. How do they expect me to provide for my family when they take all my money? I wouldve understood if I evaded their calls and did not pay, but this is not the case, why do they make arrangements if they dont honour them?
