I called the call center twice asking for a settlement letter and on both occassions I was told to wait 48 hours and the document would be sent to my email address. I sent an email asking for the same thing and still nothing has come through. What makes me angry is that the interest is being charged on the balance. I don't understand why nsfas refuses to give me a quote because I am willing to pay the full amount now. Two weeks have passed since I made these requests. I am going to reverse all debit orders until I get that settlement letter and pay up what I owe in full and not in instalments as I am currently being forced to do so. I am grateful for the help they gave me when I was a student but now I feel like I am being held hostage by this debt that doesn't decrease and that I am not allowed to pay up when I want to.
